Kasvu Counseling, PLLC
Individual Therapy Services
Telehealth / Washington, DC / Seattle, WA
Thank you for stopping by. Choosing a therapist is a real decision, and I don't take it lightly that you're here looking. If you have questions or want to know more before reaching out, I'm easy to talk to.
I work with individual adults, mostly by telehealth — video sessions through Zoom or Google Meet, both HIPAA-compliant. I also see clients in person on Wednesdays at my office in the University District in Seattle, and I'd genuinely like to see that side of my practice grow. So if you're local and would rather meet face to face, that's an easy yes.
I'm licensed in Washington, Illinois, Florida, Maryland, Minnesota, Oregon, Virginia, and Washington, DC. I'm also part of a multistate agreement (PSYPACT) that lets me see clients by telehealth in most other U.S. states and territories — so if you're not in one of the states listed above, reach out anyway. There's a good chance I can still work with you.
I've been doing this work for more than twenty years, and if there's one thing that time has taught me, it's that there's no single right way to help someone. Some sessions, that means listening while you think something through out loud. Others, it means being direct about a pattern I'm noticing and asking you to look at it head-on. I adjust based on what's actually useful to you, not a script.
As a gay therapist, a lot of my work is with LGBTQ+ clients, people working through grief, stress, anxiety, and mood concerns, and people navigating relationships with parents, family, friends, or partners — including people in open or non-monogamous relationships. If any of that sounds like where you're at, you won't need to explain the basics to me first.
I've worked with people from a wide range of backgrounds and life situations over the years, and I still genuinely enjoy this work and the relationships I build with the people I see. That hasn't worn off.
If you think we might be a fit, reach out. I'd like to hear from you.
